Hi there! Thanks for visiting Hope 4 2day encouragement blog site! This blog was created to encourage my fellow sisters in Christ as they continue their walk with God. No matter who we are, where we are in God or the trials that we face, we all can use an encouragement along the way. I believe that God is using me to share that encouragement with you.

I believe God lead a friend of mine to ask me about starting a blog, something that I never thought of, but instantly became curious about.  After seeking God for new ways to serve Him and to be used by Him, I began praying about what she mentioned to me. I continued to talk to God about it and did some casual research to see what a blog was and how to begin one. To my surprise, blogging was something that I’d already begun, to a certain degree. The only difference between what I was doing and having an official blog was the means in which I shared my thoughts and words of encouragement.

In 2015, one of my good friends from college gave me a new bible for my birthday, which happened to be a 3-in-1 devotion bible. I began reading the devotion, wisdom literature and also followed along with the daily reading plan that was included within the bible. I remember reading my devotion one evening in my dorm, putting it on the table after I finished reading it. One of my roommates –now one of my best friends– saw it, picked it up and asked about it. I explained to her how it was designed, and how much I enjoyed it. She skimmed and scanned through it, asking if she could read it sometime.

I shared one of the daily devotions with her at a later point because it was so encouraging to me, and it gave me hope for my circumstances. That day’s devotion was so powerful to me that I wanted her to know about it! We began talking about different things and how that devotion was actually relevant for the both of us. That was a ministering moment for the both of us because in sharing our different perspectives of what the Word said, we were able to gain hope and strength from the Word and each other. From that day forward, she and I began reading the daily chapters together at some point during the day. As we became busier throughout the semester, it was more difficult for us to follow the reading plan together. I texted her one morning to see if she had a chance to read the devotion for the day, to which she replied that she hadn’t since she was running late. I snapped a picture of the devotion and the wisdom literature for that day, and sent it to her so she’d have it to read when she had the time.

From there, I began sharing my daily devotions with another young lady who I met through my roommate. As I would prepare to send the devotion to those two ladies, God would put various women on my mind to share the devotion with. Not knowing the reason, I just did it out of obedience to what I felt God leading me to do. Since then, I began sending the daily devotion to about 12 women that God would put on my mind to share the encouragement with. In sharing, I would share why I was thankful for what was said for that day and how it encouraged or helped in my walk with God. Every devotion I read gives me new perspective and new hope in my personal walk with God, and I wanted to share that hope with those ladies as they grow in the Lord as well.

As I continued to do research, I was so overwhelmed and amazed at God. God would bring different things to mind that happened that I believed God used in various ways to prepare me for what was coming.  It’s amazing how we don’t recognize what God is doing until He shifts us closer to what He was preparing us for.

A friend of mine shared something with me, and I am constantly reminded of what they said : “Despise not the days of small beginnings”. I would have never thought anything about sharing my devotional with a close friend as becoming more than that. I simply wanted to encourage her as she continued to grow in God, just as someone did for me. The plan of God is definitely unexpected, but so worth it! As we continue to walk with God, we learn to trust Him more and more, depending more on His guidance and less on our understanding. My prayer for this devotion is that God speaks to the hearts of His children and provides them with strength to continue to pursue Him in all things. My desire is that God is seen and His love is felt through each post of encouragement. To the person that reads this ,  know that God sees you. He knows where you are, and He knows you by your name. He delights in you and wants you to become all that He destined you to be. I pray that you receive the love of God freely to grow in His grace daily. God always knows how to get us what we need when we need it. Hope 4 2day is encouragement that’s here for you, whenever you need it.

God bless you!
