Seeking Wisdom — June 18, 2017

Seeking Wisdom

“Then King Rehoboam consulted the elders who had served his father Solomon during his lifetime. “How would you advise me to answer these people?” he asked…but Rehoboam rejected the advice the elders gave him and consulted the young men who had grown up with him and were serving him.”

1 Kings 12:6,8

What good is it for us to ask for wisdom then not use it? That’s what we sometimes do: we ask God for His wisdom, how He would direct us and what He says is the best thing to do, but don’t use that wisdom. We think that God’s way is wrong when it doesn’t align with what we want Him to tell us. We even consult with our friends and family more than we consult God. However, we must remember that God is Almighty and He knows ALL things, and we must trust Him in all things. We must believe that God knows what’s best for us, and will give us the guidance that we need to move forward in the direction that will lead to His will.

Although we may feel more comfort in asking guidance from those who are on the same level as we are, they can’t help us beyond a certain point because they, too, have limited understanding and perspective. We must understand that God will use people to get us what we need when we need it, so we must have an open and receptive heart to the insight that God gives us about our current circumstance or a future one. Whatever the wisdom, trust God will have the best answer for you. I pray that God helps us to trust His wisdom and walk in faith instead of fear.

God will always take care of you ♥

God bless you, and know that I am praying with you! ♥

Wait on God — June 16, 2017

Wait on God

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”

Psalm 27:14

I’ve heard people say many times that we live in a microwave society, meaning we want what we want now, and we don’t want to wait for it.  I’m sure many people can agree with this. When we demand to have what we want when we want it, we don’t usually look at the consequences; all we are concerned with is our desire satisfied in that moment. God sees the consequences of giving us what we desire prematurely. When we don’t get what we ask for when we ask for it, we get frustrated, angry and discouraged. However, we must realize that God may have withheld that desire from us to protect us instead of harming us. His love protects us from ourselves when He sees that what we desire is detrimental to us and our walk with Him.

As our heavenly Father, He knows what we need and is aware of what we ask Him for, but He gives us all things in His timing. We can’t see what God sees nor do we know what God knows. When He doesn’t give us what we ask for right away, we must stand in faith knowing that He still has our best interest in mind. Yes, it is difficult, but the wait is worth it.

I believe that God wants us to challenge our faith in Him during our time of waiting by trusting Him more. We may grow tired of waiting, but the bible says for us not to be weary in well doing because we will reap in due season if we faint not( Galatians 6:9). My beloved sister, I pray that God stretches your faith to trust in Him for His best, and for Him to give you strength in your wait. I pray that He causes you to be rooted and grounded in Him as a tree of righteousness as you wait for His plan to unfold in your life.  I also pray that God allows you to see His everlasting love in withholding what you asked for just as much as you see His love in answering your requests.  When you grow weak, that is when God is strong, and His grace will carry you through. Don’t let the enemy make you believe otherwise. Know that you are loved by the Most High God! Let God be your strength today and each day as you wait on Him ♥

You are God’s Choice — June 14, 2017

You are God’s Choice

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen         you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”- John 15:16
When we have an insecurity, we either cover it up with excessive confidence, hide it, or seek validity in someone/something. I believe that when God said this to me this morning, He was reaffirming who I am. God wants us to know that all that we are has been before Him and He is STILL choosing to love us, help us, and to use us. His viewpoint is different from ours. He sees what we can’t see, and He knows more than we will ever know. However, He still CHOOSES to love us. The love God has for us is incomparable. It should never be compared to the love we receive from another person because their love is limited. Even when people or jobs don’t choose you, I pray that you take pleasure and find comfort in knowing that you were chosen by God. Not just chosen, but you were hand picked and called by your name! That tells us that all along, God knew where we were, even in those dark times of our lives. God’s love sheds an everlasting light into our hearts, situations and lives. When God is in it, all things are seen. So what you couldn’t see before is now clearer than ever and what you didn’t know is now revealed to you through the Spirit of Christ. I pray that you always remember that you are God’s choice, His most prized possession and His greatest pleasure. I pray that you are open to receive God’s perception of you, and that you let go of the misconception of you.
Take pleasure in knowing that God chose YOU today, and He chooses you EVERYDAY!❤️
